Holly Nicolai

Lead Teacher, Preschool

Teacher at GPS since 2011

41 Years of Teaching Experience

From the moment Holly walked through the doors at Golden Pond School, she felt our warmth and gentleness. As an experienced educator she saw that GPS captured the essence of teaching through hands-on experiences. Holly was excited to become part of a school that created an environment where both teachers and children are treated as individuals and given the space and resources to grow and thrive.

For 56 years Holly called New York home. She was a teacher for 10 years and then the Educational Director and Summer Camp Director for 12 years at a premier preschool in Long Island, NY. Holly developed many excellent programs that still thrive there today.

Holly’s passion and love for young children is infused in her teaching style. She believes in hands-on learning through play and to keep a child’s attention, learning must be fun, exciting, and full of wonder.

“I love sunshine, rainbows, and blue skies. The stars and the moon fascinate me. I truly believe that everything in this universe can be used to teach and excite children on a daily basis. My glass is always full and I see only the beauty in everyone and everything!”
