WEEK 1 – June 15-19

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Dance with fairies, make music with elves and meet woodland animals! Fairytales come to life through encounters with authentic materials, plenty of imaginary play and nature inspired arts and crafts.
In House Field Trip: Face Painting and Forest Party!

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

Spend a tree-mendous week examining the gentle giants of the forest. Use bark, twigs, and other elements of nature to design a fairy garden, hobbit habitat or gnome home. Campers develop a deeper awareness of Mother Earth as they connect with nature.

WEEK 2 – June 22-26

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

The magic continues with unicorns and dragons! Ride a sparkly unicorn through a rainbow trail and meet a funny little dragon that breathes whip cream.  Create a unicorn horn and dragon puppet!

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

Search the forest for unicorns, dragons, fairies and trolls! Draw inspiration from the magical animals and wee folk of the forest to create your own mythical creature.  Experiment with magic potions and make Dragon’s Breath Slime!

WEEK 3 – June 29- July 2 (4 days only)

PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Play, build and create with repurposed materials! Learn all about recycling through exciting hands-on activities and creative play. Make a one-of-a-kind newspaper hat to wear at our 4th of July Parade.

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

STEAM! Artists and engineers become champions of their environment as they transform trash into treasure! Make jewelry and cool crafts from upcycled materials like a bristlebot from a repurposed toothbrush! Fieldtrip: Loudoun County Landfill where we will learn how garbage is disposed, watch 40-ton tractors smash trash and learn about recycling.

WEEK 4 – July 6-10

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Sort shells, create an ocean mural with shapes, enjoy sand play dough and go on a scavenger hunt to clean up our beaches. Plus, lots of outdoor water play!
In-House Field Trip: Under the Sea

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

Dive deep into the ocean’s layers and explore marine life in each zone. Learn about your favorite sea creatures with science experiments and creative art projects and exciting outdoor water activities!

WEEK 5 – July 13-17

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Meet a narwhal, seahorse, crab and other sea animals during an interactive story-time! Enjoy daily water activities and themed snacks at our story-time café.

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

Become an ocean conservationist! Discover your connection to the ocean and how you can make a difference to protect this great resource. Learn about the Great Garbage Patch and endangered marine animals while keeping cool with outdoor water fun.
Field trip: Chessie’s Big Backyard at Lee District Park – a spraypark plus a nature trail with sound garden, spinning rocks, and animal statues.


WEEK 6 – July 20-24

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Dig in and explore dirt! Learn about worms, ants, beetles and other insects hidden in garden soil. Help tend flowers and vegetables growing in our gardens and plant a mystery seed in a newspaper pot.

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

Dragonflies and beetles and spiders, oh my! Explore the garden ecosystem examining these amazing predators that help protect our gardens from pests. Create a garden mosaic inspired by your favorite insect.

WEEK 7 – July 27-31

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Meet the friendliest bug in the garden – a ladybug! Examine live ladybugs up-close before we set them free. Celebrate the life of this gentle insect with arts and crafts, stories and games.

SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS

What’s all the buzz about? Bees! We’ll take a close look at these important pollinators and learn why we need to protect these mighty creatures. Learn the science behind pollination, honey making, beeswax, bee vision, and the waggle dance!

WEEK 8 – August 3-7

YOUNG SCRAMBLER, SCRAMBLER & PRESCHOOL CAMPERS

Discover rocks of all shapes, sizes and colors. Have fun collecting, experimenting, building and storytelling with rocks plus activities supporting growth in the areas of language, math and science.

A Jello earthquake? Earth’s layers in a pudding cup? A Pop Rocks volcano? Indulge in sweet treats as you experiment and learn all about rocks!

WEEK 9 – August 10-14

Rocks & Music! Every camper is a rock star this week! Make jewelry and musical instruments.

Make friends with a pet rock! Explore rocks through art and design. Try rock balancing, design a rock garden and craft a rock puzzle and game.

WEEK 10 – August 17-19

PRESCHOOL & SCHOOL AGE CAMPERS
(3 days only, full-day only)

Obstacle courses, parachute play and dance parties! We’ll refuel by preparing and enjoying refreshing drinks and healthy snacks while campers learn healthy habits.
