Kindergarten visits Washington D.C.!

Our Kindergarten students don’t just learn about Washington D.C. – they experience it! The excitement is palpable as the charter bus crosses the Potomac and the children spot the monuments. There is nothing like visiting our nation’s capital city with our friends, parents and teachers. The highlight of the day is the private tour of the Capital Building which is a treasured memory for our Kindergarten families. Every student selected a statue from the Statuary Hall collection located on display inside the Capitol before the trip. The students have become experts on the important monuments including the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial plus they enjoyed visiting the Ellipse, Lincoln Memorial and singing in front of the Capital Building Tree.
