At GPS since 2007
Lisa started at Golden Pond School in 2007 as a Lead Kindergarten Enrichment teacher. She delighted inthe brain based curriculum which allowed the exploration of engaging themes; promoting a child’s natural curiosity, fostering joyful learning and meaningful fun. From 2008-2013 Lisa had the privilege ofserving as the Kindergarten/KE Curriculum Coordinator and Team Lead. In addition to her teaching duties, Lisa has been an active member of GPS teams presenting at annual Conferences of the Virginia Reading Association (2012 and 2013) and at the International Reading Association in San Antonio, Texas (2013). Lisa was then asked to assume overall leadership of the administrative team and was appointed Principal in 2013.
Lisa currently lives in Leesburg with her wonderful husband, Jim, and their beautiful Pitbull, Jasmine, a rescue dog from Philadelphia. They have one son, James, who lives in San Diego, CA. Lisa loves cooking, reading, visiting her son and taking catnaps when time allows!
