OUR PROGRAM AT A GLANCE:

• Children must be 5 years old by September 30th.
• Curriculum includes formal introduction to reading, math, geography, social studies, science, language arts, music, art, and computer.
• Curriculum follows the Virginia S.O.L.s for Kindergarten
• Daily Spanish lessons
• Bi-monthly library trips
• Monthly theme related fieldtrips
• Small class sizes
• Schedule 5 Days M-F 8:30-2:30

Kindergarten is an important milestone for your child and you; it marks the beginning of their formal school career. At Golden Pond, Kindergarten is a full day program. Golden Pond students will be given opportunities to build and explore oral language, reading, social studies, math, scientific investigation, reasoning, and critical thinking skills through meaningful activities.

At Golden Pond, we value the close ties between children and their families. The strong reciprocal relationship that develops between our families and the school is extremely important. Research indicates that parental participation in education helps to promote school success. Together we can open windows of possibilities for our children.
