Our Results – At Golden Pond, success is defined by how much a child loves learning and by his or her social and emotional growth as much as by what children learn. Our parents are consistently amazed not only at the evolution of their little ones into early readers and active, engaged learners who eagerly bring their newfound knowledge home to share, but also at how they learn to make friends and work together.

The evidence isn’t just anecdotal. The Golden Pond Way holds up against data-driven evaluation, too. Our rising Kindergarteners and rising first graders consistently achieve outstanding scores on Virginia’s PALS tests, which measure the fundamental components of literacy.

Golden Pond has also earned extensive recognition by peers at the state, national, and international levels. In recent years, we’ve been asked to present parts of our curriculum to the International Reading Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and Virginia State Reading Association.
